Grace Galvin, Programme Manager. Internship: Jan – Nov 2023

My internship with epi began in January 2023, following my graduation from college. I was taking my young career in a completely new direction, so applying for the internship programme was a perfect way for me to learn about the events industry and the DMC world in a setting that encouraged growth and development in young professionals.

From the start, epi facilitated a holistic learning environment where I worked with both the sales and operations teams. A key element of the internship was being involved in each step of the event, from designing bid proposals and supplier management, to meeting clients and operating exciting incentive programmes. By November, I had gained invaluable knowledge and skills that I have taken with me in my current role as full-time Programme Manager with epi.

As well as professional development within the company, epi encourages you to participate in industry events and associations. The Irish events community is vibrant and welcoming, and a fantastic resource to develop networking and communication skills. Thanks to epi and their support, I am delighted to be board member of the SITE Ireland Young Leaders. The epi internship programme offers a fantastic opportunity to learn first-hand the knowledge and skills that will benefit your early career in the events industry.
